2026 Cal Invitational Hired Judging

If you are interested in judging for the Cal Invitational, please fill out this form. Our timeline for finalizing hired judging varies each year, but doesn’t start until at least a couple months before the tournament, so you may not receive a response from us immediately.

  • The 2026 Cal Invitational will be held Feb. 14-16, 2026. The tournament will be entirely IN-PERSON on the UC Berkeley Campus.

    We do not hire judges for our online divisions (WSD, Parli). If you are not local to the Bay Area, do not fill out this form.

    We pay $40/round for each round you actually judge (in flighted events, 2 flights = 1 round). We do not reimburse for travel expenses, lodging, or food.

  • Which events are you willing to judge?
  • Are there any schools or teams we should preclude you against? Please also note here if you are already judging for a school and are only being hired for a partial commitment.
  • By agreeing to judge for the California Invitational, you are agreeing to the following conditions:
    • 1) You will be in-person on the UC Berkeley campus for the tournament
    • 2) The tournament is only able to pay for rounds you actually judge (in flighted events, 2 flights = 1 round), and cannot guarantee any particular number of rounds.
    • 3) You will not judge at another tournament the same weekend, either online or in-person.
    • 4) You will not give your ballots in any round to any other person.
    • 5) You understand that missing assigned judging rounds may result in being removed as a judge without pay.
    • 6) You agree to abide by the tournament's code of conduct and behave professionally at all times.
